授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN) | | 老年看護学の課題は医療・保健・福祉，倫理，施策と多岐にわたり複雑化している。このような社会背景の中で，質の高い看護実践には，加齢にともう心身機能の変化と疾病の理解に加えて，認知機能の変化とそれが生活に与える影響を検討することが重要である。また，老年看護学の学問的知識基盤と看護実践の構築には，ケアの根拠となる研究論文を批判的に評価する力を養うことが求められている。
本講では，認知症高齢者のケアに必要な知識と技術を学び，国内外の文献のクリティークから，認知症高齢者の特性に応じた効果的な実践と研究のあり方を探求する。また，老年看護学領域での自らの疑問や課題を検討し，研究テーマを検討する。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | The issues in gerontological nursing are covered with various fields with medical, welfare, health and policies. It is important to provide high-quality nursing care understanding illness and transition of mental and physical function, cognitive changes with aging, impacts of those changes in the older adults lives.
To build nursing practice and foundation of the scientific knowledge in gerontological nursing is required to improve an ability of critical reading in journals.
The purposes of this course are to learn important knowledge and techniques for elderly with dementia and consider own study theme. |

Objectives of the Course(JPN) | | １）認知症の種類と特徴，中核症状と行動・心理症状（ＢＰＳＤ）を説明できる。
２）認知機能のスクリーニング，中核症状，行動・心理症状（ＢＰＳＤ）の評価方法を知る。
３）認知症高齢者に用いる薬物療法，非薬物的介入を知り，それらの課題を述べることができる。
４）認知症高齢者とのコミュニケーション技術を修得する。
５）認知症高齢者に関する国内外の文献をクリティークできる。
６）老年看護学領域での自己の研究テーマを説明できる。 |

Objectives of the Course | | At the end of this class, students will be able to:
１）Explain types and characteristics, core symptoms and behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia (BPSD).
２）Understand screenings and assessments of core symptoms and BPSD in dementia.
３）Explain issues in pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy in dementia.
４）Obtain adequate communication skills with dementia.
５）Critique research articles on demented elderly.
６）Ｅexplain own study theme. |
