授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN) | | | 本科目は、日本とヨーロッパ（EU）における民法の在り方に関するものである。本科目は、次の3つの部によって構成されている。第1部：日本における民法、第2部：EUにおける民法、第3部：受講生による報告。第1部と第2部では、それぞれの分野の概要を紹介する。その際、日本の裁判所および欧州連合司法裁判所（CJEU）の関連する主な判例にも触れる。第3部では、受講生が、第1部と第2部で取り扱った内容に関連するトピックについて英語で報告する。本科目は、民法について研究することまたは国際取引にかかわる職業に就くことを希望する大学院生、および、比較法的な観点から自国の法に対する知識を深めることを望む大学院生にとって特に意義があるものと思われる。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | | This is a course on Japanese and European (EU) civil law. The course is organized into the following three parts: (I) civil law in Japan, (II) civil law in the EU, (III) presentations by students. Duging parts I and II, an outline of the respective topics will be provided. Major relevant case law of Japanese courts and of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) will also be discussed along the way. In part III, students will make presentations on selected topics related to parts I and II. This course is helpful both for students who wish to do research about civil law or work in positions dealing with international transactions as well as for students who intend to deepen their understanding of their own national law from a comparative perspective. |

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | No written examinations will be conducted.
- Class attendance and participation: 30%
