This course is help to establish the direction of doctoral research through the presentation and discussion of research.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
本セミナーは，博士後期課程１年生を対象とし，各人の地質・地球生物学に関する博士研究の内容の発表を行い，研究方法，研究結果，考察の妥当性などを議論し，博士研究の意義の深い理解と方法論の実践的指導を行う．プレゼンテーションの準備は時間外に行う．履修者は本セミナーで実施される研究倫理教育ガイダンスの受講を必須とする．
This seminar is for first year doctoral students. Students are expected to read scientific papers in fields related to their own research such as geology, petrology and paleontology. They are also expected to present the information in front of the other members of the group. The presentation needs to be prepared out of this class hour.
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.

受講する場合は，事前に地質・地球生物学講座の教員に連絡すること．
This course is conducted in mainly Japanese but accept international student who have studied geology.
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
出席回数と各人の発表における理解度，まとめ方，発表の方法などに基づいて評価する．
研究の内容をわかりやすくまとめて発表することと質問に対する回答の妥当性を最低限の合格基準とする．
Estimate based on the degree of understanding, construction and method of presentation.
The minimum acceptance criteria are to present the contents of the research in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand manner and the validity of the answers to the questions.
