Goals of the Course | | | This course aims that students will deepen understanding of the basic knowledge, concepts and methods on land and infrastructure development in urban and territorial areas in order to acquire the capability to address variou issues in urban and territorial planning and development. The course also helps students develop the capabilities for logical thinking through discusion and debate with other students. [DP2, DP4] |

Objectives of the Course | | Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- understand what is importance in land and infrastructure development,
- consider how sustainability is improved in urban and territorial areas,
- clearly explain the contents of academic documents related to land and infrastructure development, and
- demonstrate the ability to make discussion and debate with other persons, not only staying in own professional field. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | それぞれの授業において，事前に予定された2名の受講生が国土デザインに係る学術論文の内容について順に発表する．発表する論文は学生が選択することができるが，担当教員の承諾が必要である． | | In each class, two students assigned in advance will make their presentation in turn to explain contents of academic papers on land and infrastructure development. Students can select papers explained in the class but need approval of the instructor to use them. |

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | | 持続性を達成するための国土デザインの重要な概念や手法を説明し議論するための能力を，担当する発表(60%)および各授業における議論への貢献(40%)により総合的に評価する． | | Students will be comprehensively evaluated according to presentations (60%) and effectiveness in discussion (40%).A passing grade is predicated on the capability to explain and discuss significant concepts and methods on land and infrastructure development to attain the sustainability. |
