Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 少人数のセミナーの形式で，大学で学び研究するための最も基本的なスキル（コモン・ベーシック）としての読み（文献調査，考察，検討），書き（まとめ，報告書作成），話す（討論，発表）を中心とした多面的な知的トレーニングを行います。さらに「知の探究のプロセス」と「学問の面白さ」を学び，自立的学習能力を身につけることを目的としています。教員の研究分野に応じて多様なテーマが用意されています。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course is conducted in the form of a seminar with small groups.We will provide multifaceted intellectual training focused on reading (literature research, consideration, examination), writing (summary, report writing), and speaking (discussion, presentation) as the most basic skills (common basic) for learning and studying at university.Through this,our goal is to learn the "process of knowledge exploration" and "the fun of learning" and to acquire the independent learning ability.A wide various of themes are prepared according to the research field of the instructors. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 世の中を構成する原子には元素と呼ばれる種類があることは高校までに学んできたが、元素ごとの特性はどこにあるのか、また人類はこれら特徴のある元素をどのように社会生活に活かしてきたのだろうか？材料科学・医療など、日常生活に欠かせない身の回りの物質には元素の特徴を活かした機能が埋め込まれている。本講義では、これら元素の特徴や応用例を受講生自らが調査し、考察を加えた発表を行い、さらに討論を通して理解を深めると同時に、知的好奇心を醸成することを目的とする。合わせて、プレゼンテーションスキルおよび文章作成スキルについても学ぶ。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | We have learned in high school that there are different types of atoms, called "elements", that make up the world, but what are the characteristics of each element, and how have humans utilized these characteristic elements in our social lives? Functions based on the characteristics of elements are embedded in the materials around us that are indispensable in our daily lives, such as in materials science and medicine. In this lecture, students will investigate the characteristics of these elements and their applications, and give presentations with discussion to deepen their understanding and foster their intellectual curiosity. In addition, students will learn presentation skills and writing skills. |
