本授業科目は，初年次生を大学教育へ導入し，自立した学習能力を身につけるとともに，文・理に共通した基礎的学力や技能を養うために，多面的な知的トレーニングによって，コモンベーシックとしての読み，書き，話す能力のかん養を図るとともに，真理探究の方法と面白さを学ぶことが目的である。
本授業では「都市の川は甦るか？」をテーマに、名古屋を流れる山崎川や堀川といった都市河川を対象に、その再生の糸口を、フィールド調査や文献調査等を通して提案してもらいます。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
The purpose of this course is to introduce first-year students to university education, to help them acquire the ability to study independently, to cultivate basic academic skills and skills common to both the humanities and the sciences, to develop the ability to read, write, and speak as common basics through multifaceted intellectual training, and to learn the methods and fun of truth-seeking.

The theme of this course is "Can urban rivers be revived?" The students will be asked to propose clues to the revival of urban rivers such as the Yamazaki River and the Hori River that run through Nagoya, through field surveys and literature research.
