Goals of the Course [JPN]
本授業科目は，初年次生を大学教育へ導入し，自立した学習能力を身につけるとともに，文・理に共通した基礎的学力や技能を養うために，多面的な知的トレーニングによって，コモンベーシックとしての読み，書き，話す能力のかん養を図るとともに，真理探究の方法と面白さを学ぶことが目的である。
本セミナーでは、顕微鏡について考える。小さなものを見るために、多種多様な顕微鏡が考案されたが、未だ万能な顕微鏡は存在せず、試料や状況に応じて最適な顕微鏡を選択する必要がある。様々な顕微鏡について自らで調べ考えることで、先人の知恵の奥深さを知り、サイエンスの面白さを実感することを目指す。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
Courses designed to develop students' capabilities in the basic disciplines of reading, writing, and speaking through wide-ranging intellectual training and to help students learn both how to pursue truth and how interesting such an activity can be.
In this seminar, we will consider microscopes. A wide variety of microscopes have been devised to see small objects, but there is no perfect microscopes yet, and it is necessary to select the most suitable microscope according to the sample and situation. By investigating and thinking about various microscopes by ourselves, we aim to know the depth of the wisdom of our predecessors and to realize the fun of science.

本セミナーでは，顕微鏡の作製を主に行う．また，作製した顕微鏡や観察結果についてプレゼンする．加えて，様々な顕微鏡の調査を行い，調査結果についてプレゼンや議論を行う．これらを通じて，プレゼン能力や議論する力を獲得することを目指す．

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
In this seminar, we will make microscopes. We will make presentations about the made microscope and observation results. In addition, various microscope surveys will be conducted, and the survey results will be presented and discussed. Through these, we aim to acquire the ability to present and discuss.

Message from the Instructor
理科の授業で顕微鏡をのぞいた時にわくわくした経験を持つ人や，ミクロ・ナノの世界について興味がある人には，是非その興味を発展させてほしい．そのためには，知識を得る方法を学び，知識を身につけ，それをベースに考えられるようになってほしい．また，その考えを基に議論し，他者の意見を取り込んで自分を昇華させてほしい．本セミナーでは，「顕微鏡」をテーマとしつつ，上記アプローチを実践する場を提供する．
