Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 少人数のセミナーの形式で，大学で学び研究するための最も基本的なスキル（コモン・ベーシック）としての読み（文献調査，考察，検討），書き（まとめ，報告書作成），話す（討論，発表）を中心とした多面的な知的トレーニングを行います。さらに「知の探究のプロセス」と「学問の面白さ」を学び，自立的学習能力を身につけることを目的としています。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course is conducted in the form of a seminar with small groups. We will provide multifaceted intellectual training focused on reading (literature research, consideration, examination), writing (summary, report writing), and speaking (discussion, presentation) as the most basic skills (common basic) for learning and studying at university. Through this, our goal is to learn the "process of knowledge exploration" and "the fun of learning" and to acquire the independent learning ability. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 本セミナーでは、「植物と土」をテーマとします。今日の私たちは、植物が土から水や栄養塩類を獲得しつつ、大気から二酸化炭素と光エネルギーを取り込んで種々の有機物を生産すること、そして植物によって生産された有機物がすべての生物の生命を支えていることを知っています。しかし、このような認識に至るまでには、数千年にも及ぶ試行錯誤や紆余曲折がありました。本セミナーでは、植物の栄養源をめぐる歴史を振り返りつつ、簡単な実験も含めて、植物と土との関係について認識を深めることを目標とします。また、プレゼンテーションやレポートでは相互評価を行い、評価者の立場からどのようなプレゼンテーションやレポートが求められるのか体得することも目標としています。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | The theme of this seminar will be "Plant and Soil". Today we know that plants acquire water and nutrients from the soil, take in carbon dioxide and light energy from the atmosphere and produce a variety of organic matter, and that the organic matter produced by plants supports the life of all living things. However, it has taken thousands of years of trial and error and twists and turns to arrive at this understanding. In this seminar, we will look back at the history of plant nutrient sources and aim to deepen our awareness of the relationship between plant and soil, including simple experiments. The presentations and reports will be peer assessed and the students will learn what kind of presentations and reports are required from the standpoint of the assessors. |
