Goals of the Course [JPN]
医学雑誌は、臨床医、学生、一般の人々に医療技術や医療行為に関する最新の情報を提供するために存在します。医学雑誌には、医学、医療、医療技術の進歩をカバーする記事が掲載されます。さらに、医学雑誌は、摂食障害から看護、神経生物学に至るまでのトピックに関する情報や記事を提供しています。特に臨床医にとっては、最近の症例報告や実践についての原著論文を読むことが興味の対象となります。本セミナーでは、バイオメディカル研究論文の読み方、発表方法を英語で学ぶことを目的としています。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
Medial journals exist to provide clinicians, students and the public with up to date information on medical technology and medical practices. A medical journal will include article that covers the advances in medicine, medical care and medical technology. In addition, medical journals provide information and articles on topics ranging from eating disorders, to nursing, to neurobiology. For clinicians, it is of particular interest to read original papers about recent case reports and practices. This seminar aims to learn students how to read and present biomedical research articles, in English language.

本セミナーの目的は、医学博士課程の学部生にバイオメディカルジャーナルの研究論文や症例報告を紹介することである。

The purpose of this seminar is to introduce research articles and case reports from biomedical journals to the undergraduate MD students.

Message from the Instructor
I hope this course will to help students further develop their English language skills to better express and analyze their thoughts and attitudes in the English-speaking environment. I also hope that this course might ignite the passion for reading research article and maybe doing own research later on.
