Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Psychology is the science of the human mind, and covers a wide range of issues, from basics such as perception, feeling, and learning, to applications into such matters as human development, interpersonal relationships, groups, cultures, and psychological problems. In this course, we aim to pursue the laws of our mental world, and deepen our understanding of human cognition, emotion and behavior. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | 将来、社会のさまざまな領域で活躍する人材にとって必要な、人間に関する基本的理解を体得することを目指す。
実証的心理学の代表的な理論や研究の成果から、特に「社会的存在としての人間」の本質について理解する。
また、単に心理学に関する知識を習得するだけでなく、科学的思考・批判的思考の方法を身につけることも目標とする。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | With a prospect of becoming leaders in various sectors of the society, students will aim to achieve basic understanding of the human nature. In particular, the task will be to learn different perspectives concerning “humans as social beings,” on the basis of representative theories and research in empirical psychology. The goal is not only to acquire knowledge about psychology, but also to acquire methods of scientific and critical thinking. |
