Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 宗教は歴史の最初期から文化変容の大きな動因となってきました。そして，宗教対立・紛争，宗教原理主義といった問題を通じて，現在でもわれわれの文化と社会の大きな規定要因となっています。宗教という信念体系を人類の文化全体の中に置いて，その歴史的役割と現代的課題を明らかにすることを通じて，人間が世界を捉え，意味づけていく枠組みとしての宗教に対して，冷静で客観的な視点をとることができるようになることを目指します。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Religion has been a main cause of cultural changes since the beginning of the human history. And it is continuing to be a determining factor of our societies and cultures through such problems as religious conflicts or religious fundamentalism. This lecture aims to provide students with cool-headed and objective standpoint for religions as a framework within which human beings capture and interpret the world they live in. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 本講義では、古代インドの思想や仏教の開祖であるゴータマ・シッダールタの思想に焦点を当て、インド文化の本質を理解する。そして古代インドの思想やゴータマ・シッダールタの思想を通して「宗教とは何か」「死とは何か」を考えつつ、自分自身にとっての生や死とは何かを考えるきっかけとなることを目標とする。 |
