本授業科目は，自然科学系分野の学問体系を認識するとともに，自主的判断能力を培うことが目的である。豊かな生活や危険の回避、さらにはサイエンス全般の発展、持続可能な社会の実現につながる基盤的学問である化学の基礎を習得する。

To learn basic chemistry, which is an important and basic science leading to the development of all scientific areas and realizing sustainable society.

Objectives of the Course [JPN]
化学の基礎的課題のうち、原子や分子の構造、分子間に働く力、それにより形成される気体・液体・固体の性質と構造を知ることで、物質の微視的な世界から巨視的な世界までを概観できるようになり、化学＝物質科学であることを理解する。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
Students will understand that chemistry is a material science by learning atoms, molecules, the forces acting between molecules, and the properties and structures of the gases, liquids, and solids formed by them.
