Goals of the Course [JPN]
我々の住む地球がどのような特徴をもった惑星であるのかを理解するとともに，地球惑星科学を概観することを目的とします。このため，宇宙や太陽系の中での地球の起源，地球の形状と内部構造，地球を構成する物質の種類や性質，岩石圏で発生する地震，水圏・気圏も含めた地球の表層環境などについて解説し，地球に対する理解を深めます。また地球惑星科学で用いられている代表的な研究方法なども紹介します。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
The goal of this course is to understand the characteristics of our planet Earth and to provide an overview of Earth and planetary science. To this end, the origin of the Earth in the universe and Solar System, the shape and internal structure of the Earth, the materials that make up the Earth, earthquakes occurred in the lithosphere, and the surface environment of the Earth including the hydrosphere and atmosphere will be explained to deepen the understanding of the Earth. Research methods used in Earth and planetary science will also be introduced.

地球科学は、生物の進化、地球環境問題、防災、歴史や文化など幅広い分野と密接に関係する。太陽系と地球の起源、地球の内部構造・ダイナミクス、地球を構成する物質の性質と挙動、大気や海洋の構造や力学・化学、気候変動などについて、最新の成果も踏まえて理解、把握できるようになることが本講義の目標である。また、基礎として必要な物理・化学についても併せて身につけ、地球に関する理解を深める。

Notice for Students
理学部学生向けの地球科学基礎Ⅰは２教室で並列同時開講されます。それぞれの教室で、前半、渡邊誠一郎と山岡耕春が並行してほぼ同一の講義を行い、後半は中川書子と藤田耕史が並行してほぼ同一の講義を行います。期末試験ではノート・参考書の持ち込みは不可とします。
