Goals of the Course [JPN]
定量的変化を記述・分析する数学の分野が解析学であり，その中心的方法は微分積分学です。それは自然科学，さらに近年社会科学などにも広く応用される重要な研究手法です。本科目は通年講義の後半として，多変数微分積分学の基本を理解し，様々の計算に習熟して応用できるようになることを目的とします。特に幾何学（空間）的イメージと結び付いた理解を重視します。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
The field of mathematics that describes and analyzes quantitative changes is analysis, and its central method is calculus. It is an important research method that is widely applied to the natural sciences and, in recent years, the social sciences. The goal of this course is to understand the basics of multivariable calculus and to become familiar with and apply it to various calculations in the latter half of the year-round lecture. In particular, we emphasize understanding associated with geometric and spatial images.

多変数微分積分学の基本を理解し，様々の計算に習熟する。特に，多変数関数のグラフなどを通して幾何学（空間）的イメージ，線形代数と結び付いた理解を重視する。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The objectives of students are to understand the basics of analysis of functions in several variables and, in particular, to learn the geometrical intuition of the graphs of functions in several variables in view of linear algebra.
