本授業科目は、自然科学系分野の諸現象について、それらの諸現象を学際的、総合的に分析、把握する能力を育むとともに、他の学問分野との関連性について理解することが目的である。

講義ではセラミックスおよび極限環境で創製される材料を取り上げ、その有用な性質や発現機構、社会でどのように役立っているかについて学ぶ。様々な材料の統一的理解に必要な物性物理の基礎も学ぶ。
現代社会に活かされている先端材料に関する幅広い知識と、それを活用するための総合的な能力を習得することが本授業の目標である。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
Courses that provide students with the skills required to analyze and understand phenomena
in the field of natural sciences in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive fashion that promotes
an understanding of their relationships to other fields of study.

This lecture introduces some useful materials used in modern society. Students learn about their properties, the underlying mechanisms, and how they are used in society. Students also learn the basics of condensed matter physics necessary for understanding of various materials.
The goal of this class is to acquire broad knowledge of advanced materials used in modern society and comprehensive skills to utilize them.
