授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | As scientific research is becoming increasingly international, the ability to speak about one’s research field in English and access scientific literature in English is a fundamental skill for future scientists. This course provides students with a starting point towards Biology-specific content understanding in English. Students will be exposed to Biology terminology in English in an interactive setting, using project-based approach to learning. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | このコースの終わりまでに、生徒は以下のことを学びます。
英語での基本的な生物学用語を学ぶ。
グループディスカッションやチームプロジェクトで、この専門用語を使う練習をする。
英語でのインタラクティブな講義を聞き、参加することに慣れる。
生物学に関連したトピックについて、英語でポスターやプレゼンテーションを行う。 |

授業の達成目標 【英語】
Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | By the end of this course students will:
learn basic Biology terminology in English;
practice using this terminology in group discussions and team projects;
get used to listening and participating in interactive lectures in English;
make a poster and a presentation in English on Biology-related topic. |

Study Load (Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours) | | | Students will be expected to review the previous class material and preview the upcoming class material before each class. Course projects (poster, oral presentation) will be prepared in teams outside of class time. |
