This course aims to give students a basic grounding in British Literature and its cultural and historical context from the 18th to the 21st century, to acquire the metalanguage necessary to communicate on literary topics and to assist help students to improve their communication skills through discussion of the course material.

None. The course will be taught in English only. It is recommended for students to read the set texts before the class and make a note of any points which they wish to be clarified
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
The course will be assessed by 20% for weekly assignments, 40% for a midterm and 40% for the final. To pass, students must earn 60 points in total.
