授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | This course is designed to assist fourth-year JACS students in preparing and writing their graduation thesis. |

授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | Colloquium-style seminar. Student research presentations and faculty feedback, working toward producing a complete, quality draft of the graduation thesis.
The course will be team-taught by Profs. Grunow, Iwata, and Ma.
In principle, class will meet twice monthly (biweekly). Students will take turns presenting their current research.It is critical that students fully prepare for each presentation, including the necessary written and/or audiovisual materials to demonstrate their progress. |

履修条件・関連する科目 Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | Students must have completed three years of undergraduate study in the JACS program. In special cases, third year students can be admitted to the course after consultation. |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | Presentation 50% Final product 50% To pass, students must earn 60 points in total. |

課外学習等(授業時間外学習の指示) Study Load(Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours) | | Most of the work for this course is done outside the classroom. It includes locating and reading relevant research literature, preparing abstracts, annotated bibliographies, research proposals and research presentations. Most important of all, students will complete their BA thesis in this term. |
