Goals of the Course(JPN)

熱力学，量子化学，物性化学，統計力学などの物理化学系の学問を習得する際に，関連する諸現象を数式を用いて定式化すること・定量的に考察することは，化学を極める上で大切なプロセスである。本講義では物理化学で取り扱うテーマを題材にして，その習得に必要な応用数学の基礎を学ぶ。

This course deals with the fundamentals of applied mathematics, with applications to thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, solid-state chemistry and statistical mechanics.

(5) 微分方程式の級数解 Power series solutions of differential equations
(6) 直交多項式 Orthogonal polynomials
(7) フーリエ級数 Fourier series
(8) フーリエ変換 Fourier transform
(9) ベクトル Vectors
(10) 平面極座標と球座標 Plane polar coordinates and spherical coordinates
(11) 古典的波動方程式 The classical wave equation
(12) シュレディンガー方程式，演算子 The Schr?dinger Equation and Operators
(13) 行列の固有値問題 Matrix eigenvalue problems

履修条件
Course Prerequisites

微分積分学及び線形代数学を履修していることが望ましい。
講義は日本語で行う。
Completion of calculus and linear algebra courses (preferred).
