口頭発表し議論する能力を磨く。

This course aimis not only to acquire the skills to obtain biological knowledge from academic papers and textbooks, but also to develop skills for scientific presentation, communication, and debate.

この授業では、受講者が授業終了時に、以下の能力を身に着けていることを目標とする。
1. 与えられた文献（英語論文や英文教科書）を読み解きから、論文内容を把握し、説明する能力。
2. 各テーマのもと自分で英語論文を探し、論文内容および当該分野の背景を理解し、説明する能力。

Objectives of the Course

The goals of this course are 1) to be able to understand and explain the content of academic papers written in English, 2) to be able to search papers concerning each theme by oneself and to understand and explain the content and the background.

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan

論文から情報を得る技術や生物学の研究のようすの講義を聞きながら、自分でも論文を読み発表して技術を磨いてゆく。初めは、与えられた論文を読み、その内容を授業参加者に発表する。その後、自分の興味ある分野の論文を自分で選び、その内容を発表し、質問を受け、議論をしていく。各自の発表内容は、事前に発表内容を調べてまとめておくこと（宿題形式）。
