Goals of the Course(JPN)

火成岩や変成岩等の岩石は地球型惑星を構成する主要な物質であり、地球の進化やその内部構造を理解するためにそれらの特徴を理解することは重要である。本講義では、火成岩と変成岩の基本的な分類とそれらがどのような鉱物で構成されているかについて学ぶ。さらに、これらの岩石の成因について、主要造岩鉱物の結晶化学的特徴・熱力学の初歩と相平衡の考え方を併せて理解することを目指したい。

Goals of the Course

Igneous and metamorphic rocks are the main constituents of terrestrial planets, and understanding their characteristics is important for understanding the evolution of the Earth and its internal structure. In this lecture, we will learn about the basic classification of igneous and metamorphic rocks and what minerals they are composed of. We will also learn the crystal chemistry of the major rock-forming minerals, the rudiments of thermodynamics, and the concept of phase equilibrium.

本講義では，火成岩の分類と成因についてマグマからの冷却過程を含めて理解できること，変成岩の分類と成因について鉱物化学反応としての変成作用を含めて理解できることを目標とする。

The goal of this lecture is to enable students to understand the classification and formation of igneous rocks, including the cooling process from magma, and to understand the classification and formation of metamorphic rocks, including metamorphism as a mineral chemical reaction.
