The class will highlight the role of physics, chemistry, and computer science in the study of biological molecules. The students will familiarize themselves with protein structures and methods to study these as well as computer tools to visualize and analyze those protein structures.

Course Content / Plan
The course will cover structure of biomolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, membranes) before introducing biophysical techniques (experimental and computational) to characterize function/dynamics/folding of these biomolecules.

The final grade will be based on a mid-term exam, student presentations, assignments and attendance.

Criteria for "Fail (F)" & "Absent (W)" grades
Absent: submission of Course Withdrawal Request Form required,
Fail: total accumulated score of less than 60%.
