Goals of the Course
The work of the course is done via a series of laboratory exercises. The aims of this course are: (1) to provide factual and conceptual knowledge; (2) to develop experimental skills of students for biological studies; (3) to afford experience in obtaining and interpreting biological hypotheses; (4) to give an integrated overview of modern biology; and (5) to develop thinking and writing skills. Students are required to attend all the classes. Students shall inform their instructors of dates they will miss class due to an excused absence prior to the date of that anticipated absence. There are no exams, but students are required to write laboratory reports.
