Goals of the Course(JPN)
本講義は、講義と討論を通じて，生命農学の歴史や先端研究の現状を解説するとともに,現代社会が抱えている環境問題，農業問題，食糧問題についても解説する。本講義は短期留学生も受講可能な専門講義であり，授業は英語で行う。留学生と日本人学生との活発な討論およびプレゼンテーションや交流を期待する。

Goals of the Course
This course introduces the latest knowledge in the field of agricultural science and global concerns such as the depletion of food and energy resources, and the destruction of the natural and living environment to the students taking this course.

講義は英語で実施し、複数教員によってオムニバス形式で行われる。講義内容に関する学生間の討論やプレゼンテーションについても英語で行い，生命農学分野における幅広い知識を習得するとともに専門英語のスキルアップを目指す。

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
授業への取り組み30%、レポート試験70%
・授業中に得た専門知識を用いて論述できることを合格の基準とする。
・履修取り下げは認めない。授業またはレポート試験を20%以上欠席した場合は「W」とする
Classwork 30%, report exam 70%.
Students are required to write an essay (assignment) using the specialized knowledge acquired in the class.
Withdrawal from the course is not acceptable. Students who miss more than 20% of the class or delay the submission of the assignment will receive "W”.
