Goals of the Course(JPN)
データベースは情報社会を支える基盤技術の一つであり，大規模な組織の情報管理のために必要不可欠なものとなっている。本講義では，「データベース1」の講義を踏まえた上で，広く普及しているリレーショナルデータベースを中心に，基礎的な項目について，理論と実践の両面から学ぶ。データベースシステムに関する基本的な概念を理解することを目的とする。

Goals of the Course
Databases are one of the fundamental technologies that support the information society, and are indispensable for information management of large-scale organizations. In this lecture, based on the lecture "Databases 1", we will learn basic concepts from both theoretical and practical aspects, focusing on relational databases that are widely used. The objective of this course is to understand the basic concepts of database systems.

本講義では，リレーショナルデータベースについて，特にシステム的側面を中心に学ぶ。リレーショナルデータベース言語SQL，物理的データ格納方式，問合せ処理，同時実行制御，障害回復などについて基礎的な知識を修得することを目的とする。基礎概念について十分に理解し，具体的に説明・応用できることを到達目標とする。

Objectives of the Course
In this course, students will learn about relational databases, especially the system aspects. The objective is to acquire basic knowledge of physical data storage methods, query processing, concurrency control, and failure recovery. We aim to understand the basic concepts sufficiently and to be able to explain and apply them concretely.

「データベース1」を受講済であることを原則とする。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
実習・演習課題の評価10％，期末試験90％でA～Fで評定を行い，C以上を合格とする。
