授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN)

古来より真・善・美は、社会のなかで実現されるべき至高の価値とされてきた。そのうち、情報技術が高度に進展した未来社会において実現されるべき「美」とは何かについて論じるのがこの授業の目的である。新たな社会のあり方を導き、新たな価値の創造を促す目標としての「美」について、過去に美が社会建設のために果たしてきた役割と限界とをふまえながら、考察していく。

Goals of the Course

Since ancient times, truth, good, and beauty have been regarded as the supreme value that should be realized in society. The purpose of this class is to discuss what "beauty" should be realized in the future society where information technology is highly advanced. Based on the roles and limitations that beauty has played for social construction in the past, we consider "beauty" as a goal to guide new societies and promote the creation of new value. .

受講生は、過去に美が社会建設のために果たしてきた役割と限界についての知識を身につけるとともに、新たな社会を導き、新たな価値創造の目標となる美の可能性について議論し提言できる力を身につけることを目指す。

Objectives of the Course

Students are asked to acquire the knowledge about the roles and limitations that beauty once played for social construction. In addition, students aim to acquire the ability to discuss and propose what beauty should be, as a goal of guiding new societies and promoting the creation of new value.

講義では，新たな社会のあり方を導き、新たな価値の創造を促す目標としての「美」について、過去に美が社会建設のために果たしてきた役割と限界とをふまえながら、考察していく。受講者とともに議論する。

成績評価の方法と基準

講義中に与える演習課題の評価50％，期末試験50％，合計100点満点で60点以上を合格とする。履修を取下げる場合は, 必ず期日までに履修取り下げの届けを提出すること。

次の参考書を使用する。秋庭史典（2011）『あたらしい美学をつくる』みすず書房（ただし現在品切れなので, 購入する必要はない。）
