Goals of the Course(JPN)
現代社会は複雑化，多元化しており，情報社会，ポスト工業社会，リスク社会，消費社会など，いろいろな名前で呼ばれる。本講義では，社会学の基礎的な考え方・概念を解説するとともに現代社会の構造と変動に対応して，社会学がどのような問題意識で現実にかかわってきたのかを考察する。また，環境問題や科学技術などの多様な社会問題をどのように把握し，対応したらよいのかに関する手がかりを探求する。

Goals of the Course
Modern society is becoming more complicated and diversified, and is called by various names such as information society, post-industrial society, risk society, and consumer society. In this lecture, we will explain the basic ideas and concepts of sociology, and explain how sociological theory has been employed in response to the structural change of modern society. It also seeks clues on how to understand and react to various social issues such as environment and science/technology issues.

Objectives of the Course
Contemporary society has been characterized with various aspects, such as information society, post-industrial society, consumer society, risk society, Anthropocene and so on. In this lecture, students are expected to have deeper understanding of society in terms of social disparity, environmental problems and other emergent issues.

本講義では，社会学の基礎的な考え方・概念を解説するとともに現代社会の構造と変動に対応して，社会学がどのような問題意識で現実にかかわってきたのかを考察する。

7. 総括：人新世と現代
In this lecture, we will discuss the basic ideas and concepts of sociology, and examine how sociology has been involved in the contemporary social problems in response to the structural changes of modern society.

期末試験（100%）による。授業で取り上げた基礎概念を適切に理解すると共に、現代社会が直面する課題へ適用する力が身についているかどうかで判断する。
