Goals of the Course(JPN) | | | この授業では、自然会話に見られる文法現象を分析するアプローチとして発展してきた「相互行為言語学」（interactional linguistics）の基礎を学ぶことを目的とする。このアプローチでは、言語を文脈から切り離された抽象的な記号体系として分析するのではなく、言語がわれわれの日常生活を作り上げているさまざまな社会的行為・活動への「参加の形態」としてこそ存在しているのだという視点を取り、相互行為に見られる秩序性と文法構造の秩序性とがどのように関わりあっているかを探る。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | | This course introduces students to the interactional analysis of language structure observed in naturally-occurring language use. Many scholars of language have accepted a view of language structure, or ‘grammar’, as a self-contained abstract system that exists independently of situated language use in context. In this course, we take a very different way of approaching and understanding grammar, exploring it as part of a broader range of resources that underlie the organization of social life and emphasizing its role in the use of language in everyday interaction. The course introduces a theoretical and methodological background for the growing body of research in this area, called interactional linguistics. It also provides opportunities for students to engage in hands-on data analysis, which is designed to help them acquire skills necessary to investigate grammatical phenomena observed in naturally-occurring social interaction. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 「相互行為言語学」の理論的背景・方法論を概説した後、実際の場面での会話データの収集・転記方法を指導する。その上で、日常会話データに見られるさまざまな文法現象を扱った研究論文を取り上げ、相互行為論の観点からの文法研究の具体例に触れる。こうした研究論文についての議論を通して、相互行為の秩序性と文法構造の秩序性の密接な関わり合いを明らかにするための分析的視点を理解する。また、授業で取り上げる各現象について、実践トレーニングとしてデータ分析課題を課し、相互行為論の観点からの文法研究を実際に行う方法や技術を身につける。
本授業は以下の内容で構成される。
第1回：オリエンテーション
第2回：相互行為言語学の理論的背景・方法論の概説
第3〜6回：トピック１に関する研究論文の議論
第7・8回：トピック１に関するデータ分析練習
第9〜13回：トピック２に関する研究論文の議論
第14・15回：トピック２に関するデータ分析練習 |

Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | | 履修条件を要さないが、授業で扱う多くの研究論文が英語で書かれたものなので，それを読んで理解する英語読解力と，論文の内容を授業内で英語で議論できる英語コミュニケーション能力が必要。 |
