This course aims to introduce students to the information literacy in humanities and social sciences and help students understand research integrity.

Course Content / Plan
Students will be encouraged to participate in group discussions and offered a number of tasks and exercises.

A tentative course outline:

1 Introduction
2 How to an effective academic literature search?
3 Research integrity and case studies of misconduct
4-5 What is plagiarism? How to avoid unintentional plagiarism?
6 How to write literature reviews? What are the differences between quotation, paraphrase and summary
7 Empirical research- How to design a survey?
8 Presentation and overall discussion
