Goals of the Course(JPN)
本講義ではテクノロジーとフィクション、アートの関係について考察する。テクノロジーの発展は様々なフィクション作品にインスピレーションを与えてきたが、反対にフィクションがテクノロジーの発展に影響を与えてきたということも事実である。さらに作家はテクノロジーの発展について予見し、時にその負の影響について警鐘を鳴らすということもしてきた。このようなテクノロジーとフィクションとの間の相互作用を知ることは、フィクション作品を鑑賞する上で、あるいはテクノロジーと社会の関係を考える上で有用である。本講義ではテクノロジーとフィクションの関係について、美学の観点、および科学技術社会論の観点から、具体的な例を参照しながら考える。

Goals of the Course
In this lecture, we will consider the relationship between technology, fiction, and art. While the development of technology has inspired various works of fiction, fiction has also influenced the development of technology. In addition, writers and artists have foreseen the development of technology and sometimes sounded a warning about its negative impacts. Knowing the interaction between technology and fiction is useful for appreciating fiction works or for thinking about the relationship between technology and society. In this lecture, we will consider the relationship between technology and fiction with reference to concrete examples from the perspective of aesthetics and science and technology studies.

科学技術と関連の深いフィクション作品を取り上げて、美学の観点あるいは科学技術社会論の観点から解説し、ディスカッションをする。
