Goals of the Course(JPN)

DNAは全ての細胞生物の遺伝情報物質である。遺伝情報はアデニンとチミン、グアニンとシトシンという特定の塩基対、いわゆるワトソン・クリック塩基対によって記録され、複製され、継承される。本講義ではワトソン・クリック塩基対が支えるDNA複製、組換え、修復システム、および、ワトソン・クリック塩基対が破綻した際の細胞応答に焦点をあて、基礎から最新の研究までを概説する。

授業の目的　【英語】
Goals of the Course

DNA is the genetic material of all cellular organisms. Genetic information in the DNA is stored, duplicated, and inherited using a specific pairing of nucleobases, known as the Watson-Crick base pairing. This lecture will focus on the mechanistic basis of DNA replication, recombination, repair, and the response to the failure of the Watson-Crick base pairing, and overview the field from basic knowledge to recent advances.

本講義の受講後に、受講者は、遺伝情報の複製、組換え、修復の基本的なしくみ、ワトソン・クリック塩基対の破綻がどのような場合に起こるか、および、細胞はワトソン・クリック塩基対の破綻にどのように対応するかを説明できる。

Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, students should be able to explain how the genetic material is replicated, repaired, and recombined, how and in what events the Watson-Crick base pairing is disturbed, and how the cell handles the failure of the Watson-Crick base pairing.
