Goals of the Course

The goal of this course is to understand the importance of molecular genetics in Plant Sciences by learning “Structure and evolution of plant genome”, “Epigenetics”, “New techniques for gene isolation”, “Gene recombination and genome editing” and so on.

本講義では、植物分子遺伝学の中でも、特に植物ゲノムの構造や進化、エピジェネティックス、遺伝子単離法、遺伝子組換え、ゲノム編集などについて基礎から最新の知見までを学ぶことで、授業終了時に、植物科学における分子遺伝学の重要性や役割について理解することを到達目標とする。

Objectives of the Course

In this course, students learn the basics of plant molecular genetics, especially the structure and evolution of plant genomes, epigenetics, new techniques for gene isolation, gene recombination and genome editing. The goal is to have an understanding of the importance and role of molecular genetics in plant science.

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria

・毎回の授業への取り組み（出席のみでは評価しない）およびレポート試験により評価する。
・講義で学習した植物分子遺伝学に関する専門知識と関連技術をもとに、レポート等において、関係する生命現象の仕組みを論述できるようになることを合格の基準とする。
