授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | This is a thesis prep seminar. In this seminar, each week, students will make presentations on their research in progress in turn to gain comments and feedback from their advisor and fellow seminar participants, to prepare themselves to conduct research for their master’s theses or doctoral dissertations. Through these weekly exercise, they will improve their knowledge and skills necessary to conduct their research, develop their research questions and conceptual frameworks, and analyze the data that they have collected in the field. They will also learn ways to make sense of their research outcomes and draw sensible policy implications to inform the government policy. |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | As this is a thesis-prep seminar, students’ performance will be assessed on the basis of the quality of their presentations (40%), their efforts to make progress in their research (30%), and their weekly participation (30%). Credit is given of C- or C (where applicable) or higher for each graded criterion. |

Online participation in classes (interactive communication classes via Teams, Zoom, etc.) may be permitted by the instructor under exceptional circumstances. *Guidance will be posted on NUCT if there are any changes in the class format, etc. after registration. |
