授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN)
本実習は、日本社会が抱える開発課題を理解し、異なる背景を持つ人々とグループワークを行う機会を提供する。2022年度は、岐阜県関市で調査を実施する。学生は本実習に参加することで、現地調査に必要な基礎的技術を習得すること、また、グループワークを通してコミュニケーション能力や問題解決能力を高めることを目指す。

Goals of the Course
The Domestic Fieldwork (DFW) aims to provide students with an opportunity to understand the current development issues in Japanese society and to have group work experience with people who have different backgrounds. In 2022, students will conduct fieldwork in Seki city, Gifu prefecture. Students will be able to gain fundamental fieldwork skills and enhance their communication skills and problem-solving skills based on group work.

- Understand the importance of field visits in dealing with issues of development
- Acquire basic methods, approaches, and understanding ethics of field survey
- Experience group work with students from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
A detailed fieldwork schedule will be announced at the Preparatory Seminar for GSID Domestic Fieldwork (DFW). Before going to the field, students are required to have regular group meetings to develop their fieldwork plan.

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
Group report 40%, Group presentation 30%, Participation in group work 30%
Credit is given to C- or C (where applicable) or higher grades for each criterion.
Students have to submit the final group fieldwork report by the beginning of January 2023.

- Students willing to take this course should attend the guidance at the beginning of April 2022.
- If the situation of COVID-19 gets worse, the fieldwork will be conducted online.

In principle, lecture and seminar course subjects are offered in-person.
