授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | This interdisciplinary course focuses on the role of business in economic and social development in developing countries and emerging economies. The private sector has increasingly become an important actor in development. This course introduces various issues concerning the role of business in development. It also provides students with some key elements in policies and practices concerning business organizations, such as institutions, work, and employment. This course covers diverse issues ranging from skills and workforce development, work organization, jobs and employment, to supply chains, value chains, innovation, competition, further to corporate strategic policies such as corporate social responsibility, social business, and public-private partnership. Students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills relevant for formulating policies and strategies on the promotion of business, foreign direct investment, social business in developing countries. |
