授業の目的 【日本語】 Goals of the Course(JPN) | | This course is designed to introduce students to the basic approaches and concepts regarding poverty and development in global health interventions. In Part I, we will examine theories and concepts regarding poverty and vulnerability, public health and social policy. In Part II, we will look at implementation case studies and the idea of achieving development through disease control. By the end of the course, students should grasp basic concepts regarding poverty and development in global health and apply them to a new data set for an individual research project (discuss with Lecturer between Weeks 1-3). |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | • 60%: Individual supervised research project (5000 words) • 40%: Data analysis essay (1000 words)
Essays will be marked on an A to a C scale. The criteria for passing the course is C- (D is fail). |
