Goals of the Course(JPN) | | 【授業の目的】 DP3
環境に負荷をもたらしているさまざまな社会経済システムの現状を学ぶ。特に生物多様性分野の議論について掘り下げることでポルティカル・エコロジー、資源管理論の基礎を国際的な視座から理解する。同時に時事的な課題についてもディスカッションをすることで、マルチスケールな環境問題の課題を理解する。
【到着目標】
基本的な英語論文を読み、要約し、簡単なレビューを書けるようになる。自身の研究に関連したプロジェクトの申請書の背景などを書けるようになる。持続可能な社会を実現するために必要な政策・取組の企画・立案、実施能力を涵養する。現地の巡検・フィールワードも交えてディシプリンの深化をはかることもあり、同時的に現場の課題について参加的・ステークホルダーと共創する超学際的手法も交えて考察できるようにする。

Goals of the Course | | DP3
In this lecture aims to cultivate capacity which reforms various socioeconomic systems that causes burdens to the environment, plans policies to realize a sustainable society. We discuss the issues at multi-scale level using contemporary materials with focus on biodiversity and climate change adaptation related arena.
The students learn basic reading and writing academic skills to be able to write a review of existing studies. Students will learn trans-disciplinary approach through case studies and field works (depending on number of participants).

毎回の授業前に時事的な課題に対して、受講生は読み、講義内のディスカッションにおいて言及をするようにする。予習と復習の状況は、不定期に実施する小テストとレスポンス・ペーパーで確認する。講義で配布される英文資料について、次回までに指定箇所を読んでおくこと。読んだ論文のなかで気になった図表について５分でプレゼンをするといった、プレゼンに関する課題において、学会発表の基礎力も身に着ける。グループワークやフィールドワークに際しては、事前の準備資料の読み込み、グループ内での理解の深化、実施中はマナーを守り、大学人としての品格と相手への敬意を持つこと。

*集中講義であり、フィールドワークが含まれる（新型コロナ等の状況により実施の有無）
* フィールドワークに関係した入場料 (500円） 市内交通費 （金山駅 東山駅等）は受講生の負担となる

Students are expected to actively involved in discussions and bring in state of the art topics. Students are required to present and read materials both in Japanese and in English. They are also requested to present figures and tables from articles they have read acquiring basic skills of academic presentations. Students are expected to prepare intensely for the field visit and research.
*There are entrance fees of zoo (500 yen) and transportation costs (Kanayama station/Higashiyama).
* Fields work may be allocate other time than the regular lecture hours |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | レポート・課題（50％）、小テスト・試験（30％）、グループワーク、プレゼン、平常講義でのグループで議論への参画度と議論への貢献（20％）。 レポート・課題及び小テスト・試験でC評価以上を合格要件とする。
レポートは３回を予定している。（５回 終了時 都市林・土壌汚染、１２回 動物園の展示、１５回 全体）
レポート、試験では、適切な学術的用語の理解、引用方法を用いて論述できることを合格の基準とする。A～Fの評定はレポート評価並びに小テスト等の粗点を基準とする。 | Students will be evaluated according to report (50%), mini-tests exams, (30%) Group works, presentations, active participation (20%).
Three reports are planned at the end of each field visit group discussion (5th, 12th) and at the end of the course.
A minimum grade of C in first two category is necessary to receive a passing grade. Students are expected to be able to demonstrate academic writing skills and understanding basic academic concepts. |
