Goals of the Course | | Economic geography is the study of the unequal distribution of resources and economic activity in the
global space. This course will introduce the key concepts and perspectives on economic geography, and provide a better understanding of contemporary economic geographies in the context of global economic changes and
environmental challenges.[DP1] |

1. Understand the concepts and basis of economic geography.
2. Understand the cause of uneven geographical development.
3. Critically discuss a range of current economic and environmental issues. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 本授業は、主に以下の三つのテーマから構成される。
1）経済地理学の主要概念
⽴地、集積の経済、不均等発展、知識経済
2）グローバル化と経済活動
グローバル化、サービス経済、多国籍企業、世界都市、商品連鎖
3）グローバル化と環境
食料供給体系、産業化、フェアトレード
【授業の実施方法】
毎回、受講者が上のトピックスについて発表を行う。
各受講者は、次回の授業内容を予習するとともに、討論における質問を用意すること。 | The content is divided into three broad themes:
1. Key concepts in economic geography
Location, Agglomeration economies, Uneven development, Knowledge economy
2. Globalization of economic activities
Globalization, Service economy, Multinational corporation, Global city, Commodity chain
3. Globalization and environment
Food supply chain, Industrialization, Fair trade
[Student duties]
Students will be assigned to do presentation on the above topics every week.
The student is responsible for carefully reading the assigned material and bring a set of questions for discussion. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | プレゼンテーション（60点）、討論への貢献（40点） により評価する。100点満点中60点以上を合格とする。
