気候および関連プロセスについての科学的な理解を深めることを目的とする。本セミナーでは学生本人の研究の計画、進捗状況、および成果の発表や、関連分野の論文紹介を通して研究の背景や実情を学ぶ。(DP2)

Goals of the Course
The aim of this class is to deepen the scientific understanding of the earth's climate and related physics/chemical processes. The seminar D is particularly focused on acquiring presentation skills on issues such as academic backgrounds and research methods. (DP2)

セミナーDでは論文紹介に加えて自分の研究紹介にも重点を置く。研究結果の解析・表現方法や考察の進め方を学び、自分の研究についてのレジュメの作成から発表-討論を経ることで、論文作成に活かすことができる。
セミナー1Dは2時限続きの1時限目である。

Objectives of the Course
Seminar D will focus on introducing your own research in addition to introducing your thesis. You can learn how to analyze and express research results and how to proceed with consideration, and make use of it in writing a treatise by creating a resume and presenting-discussion about your research.
Seminar 1D is the first period of two periods.

* Impacts of aerosols on climate: direct and indirect effects
* Aerosols in climate model
* Problems in numerical studies of aerosols
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
レジュメの作成(30%)、発表内容(30%)、討論への参加状況(40%)
Academic evaluation and credits will be based on skills and achievements of making regimens (30%), presetantion (30%), and attitude/behaviour in the seminar (40%).

発表準備に際しては、関連する文献も含めて予習してレジュメを作成し、クラス全体が議論に参加しやすいよう工夫すること。教員が適宜教科書を提示する場合もある。
