Goals of the Course(JPN)
Goals of the Course
This seminar introduces biogeochemistry and related skills to students taking this course.【DP2・DP4】
Objectives of the Course(JPN)
Objectives of the Course
Students will be able to clearly explain the structure and design of biogeochemistry at the end of the course.
Course Content / Plan
Dynamics of bio-elements (e.g., carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus) in marine and terrestrial environments are discussed in relation to the biological activity. Participants of the seminar are asked to follow up particular questions raised from the discussion, for examples, questions on how does the ecosystem transfer inorganic carbon and nitrogen to organic matter and vice versa, what kinds of similarity and difference are there in the dynamics between marine and terrestrial environments and why?
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.
