地球規模の環境問題について、修得した知識をもとに深く思考し、果敢に取り組むことができる必要がある。本セミナーは、物質循環の変化が地球環境に与える影響に関する包括的な知識の習得を目的として実施する。【DP2・DP4】

This seminar introduces the relation between geochemistry and earth environment to students taking this course.【DP2・DP4】

Objectives of the Course(JPN)
地球規模の環境問題を、物質循環の変化が地球環境に及ぼす影響という観点からとらえることにより、環境問題を解決に導くための技術や知識を習得する。また物質循環の変化が地球環境に与える影響に関する最先端の論文読解、論文作成、成果発表に必要となる基礎的なスキルを身につける。

Objectives of the Course
Students will be able to clearly explain the structure and design of the relation between geochemistry and earth environment at the end of the course.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
本講義では、専門的な論文の輪講を通して、物質循環の変化が地球環境に与える影響について理解する。
また履修者は本セミナーで実施される研究倫理教育ガイダンスの受講を必須とする。
The goal of this course are to obtain basic knowledge on the relation between the geochemical cycles and the natural environment.
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.

物質循環科学セミナー2Dの同時履修がのぞましい。
It would be better to attend Seminar on Biogeochemical Cycle 2D as well.
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
出席（40%）および発表内容（発表資料の作成、討論への参加状況を含む）（60%）から判定する。
Students will be evaluated according to seminar participation (40%) and presentation in the class (60%). A minimum grade of C in every category is necessary to receive a passing grade.

Textbook
教科書は指定しないが、毎回の授業に先立ち講義資料を配付する。
There is no designated textbook, but lecture materials will be handed out at every class.
