授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | | The goal of this seminar is to provide a place for each PhD student to practice planning research, conducting research, making an outline of chapters, writing chapters, and revising them. Students are also encouraged to polish their research by receiving feedbacks to their presentations at the joint-seminar. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 1. 計画と遂行
学期はじめの決められた日時（後日通知）までに、「2021年秋 研究計画書」を提出。次の事項を含めること。
1-1 博士論文全体の構想：研究課題名、研究目的、研究の意義、章立て、参考文献、年次計画を含む。
-これまでに立てた構想を修正した場合は、どこをどう修正したかを説明すること
-これまでに計画通りに進捗したかどうか。進捗していない場合は、その理由と、今後の対策を具体的に説明すること
1-2 今学期末までの研究計画：今学期取り組む章、調査・分析の対象と方法、口頭発表、論文発表
1-3 教員との初回の面談日時：教員にメールで連絡をとり、初回の面談日時をきめてそれを記入
-2回目以降の今学期の面談日時（1ヶ月に1回）は、初回の面談時に決める。合同演習後にも面談を行う。
2. 面談
2-1 面談日時24時間前までに、その時までの成果と経過報告を提出。面談時は、これをもとに話し合う。
2-2 面談のあと、3日以内に面談で話し合った内容について1ページ以内のレポートを提出
2-3 不測の事態により、面会日時を変更しなければならないときは、事前に必ず連絡し、変更の調整をすること
3. ゼミ
3-1 主指導教員または（主指導教員の許可を得て副指導教員）のゼミに定期的に参加し、知識を深め、思考力とコミュニケーション能力を磨くことが求められる。 |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | (1) The criterion of the evaluation is as follows:
A: The student submits a more or less fully completed piece of the paper s/he initially planned to accomplish at the beginning of the semester, regardless of its quality. Even if s/he cannot submit a (largely) completed paper, more than a half of the planned achievement with a convincing statement for the delay may also be considered to deserve A.
B: The student submits not a whole paper, but more than a half of it.
C: The student does not submit more than a half of the paper, but submits some achievement (including an outline) with a convincing statement for the delay.
D: All of the three conditions above are not applicable.
It is also considered for evaluation how properly the student has submitted reports before and after each meeting throughout the semester, not to mention that all the planned meetings have been held.
All the achievements (and a statement if necessary) must be submitted no later than the later announced deadline at the end of the semester.
(2) If a student requests, the supervisor will invite the other faculty members of Screen Studies to check this process in order to ensure that her/his evaluation is fair. In this case, the supervisor will share with them the students' achievements (and statements if submitted) as well as the syllabus and their initial research plans, plus, if necessary, all of the reports the students have submitted and the evidences of whether students have submitted the reports punctually in this semester. |
