Goals of the Course | | | The goal of this course is to help Master's students produce their MA thesis. This will include help with selecting a topic, conducting a literature review, planning and carrying out the research and drafting and revising the thesis itself. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | The course will take the form of regular tutorial sessions, either one-to-one or in small groups, during which students will discuss their research topic with their academic advisor. Given that a Doctoral thesis usually takes several years to complete, the content of the course will vary depending on the progress of each student and students will need to take the course for several years. However, as a general outline to the multi-year course structure, in the early stages of the course, students will get guidance and feedback regarding topic selection and reviewing the relevant literature. Later in the course, they will be guided through the research planning stage and the actual carrying out the research. Towards the end of the course, students will be given guidance concerning the drafting and revising the thesis itself. In addition, students will be given guidance and support in submitting their work to peer-reviewed journals, applying for research grants and seeking research employment opportunities. |
