Goals of the Course(JPN)
後期課程入学者に向け，科学技術と社会の関係・情報社会における倫理・情報化による公共性の変容・芸術による新しい価値の創造と社会による受容・植物や動物と人間の共生等，情報哲学の先端的課題をあらためて理解してもらうために，輪読ならびにディスカッションを行う。

This course deals with cutting-edge research in the following subjects.
・Desirable relationship between science technology and society
・Ethics in information society
・Transformation of publicness in information-oriented society
・New value creation in art and its acceptance in society
・Symbiotic relationship of animals, plants, and human beings

受講生は，科学技術と社会の関係・情報社会における倫理・芸術による新しい価値の創造と社会による受容・植物や動物と人間の共生等，情報哲学の先端的課題をあらためて理解する。

Objectives of the Course
Students are requested to understand cutting-edge issues in information philosophy, such as the relationship between science and technology and society, ethics in the information society, the creation of new value through art and acceptance by society, and the coexistence of plants, animals, and humans.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
科学技術社会論・情報倫理・情報美学・芸術学・文化情報論等の分野における国際的ジャーナル論文の輪読ならびにそれらの内容に関するディスカッションを行う。
その作業を通じ，今後の研究について自らの進む方向を明確にする。

〔計画〕
1. 科学技術社会論・情報倫理の分野について，国際的ジャーナル論文を素材にした討論を通じ，その先端的課題が何であるかを理解する。
2. デジタル・ヒューマニティーズの分野について，同じく国際的ジャーナル論文の討論を通じ，先端的課題を理解する。
3. 情報芸術・文化情報学の分野について，同じく国際的ジャーナル論文の討論を通じ，先端的課題の所在とその現場について理解する。
In this seminar [II-a] students read about international journal articles in the fields of science and technology society, information ethics, digital humanities, information aesthetics, arts, cultural information theory, and discuss their contents. Through that work, students clarify the direction in which they will proceed in future research.

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
資料作成課題の評価５０％，期末試験５０％，合計１００点満点で６０点以上を合格とする。
