Goals of the Course [JPN]
少人数のセミナーの形式で，大学で学び研究するための最も基本的なスキル（コモン・ベーシック）としての読み（文献調査，考察，検討），書き（まとめ，報告書作成），話す（討論，発表）を中心とした多面的な知的トレーニングを行います。基礎セミナーＡに加えて，さらに「知の探究のプロセス」と「学問の面白さ」を学び，自立的学習能力を身につけることを目的としています。教員の研究分野に応じて多様なテーマが用意されています。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
This course is conducted in the form of a seminar with small groups. We will provide multifaceted intellectual training focused on reading (literature research, consideration, examination), writing (summary, report writing), and speaking (discussion, presentation) as the most basic skills (common basic) for learning and studying at university.In addition to First Year Seminar A,our goal is to acquire the independent learning ability by further learning the "process of knowledge exploration" and "interesting learning". A wide variety of themes are prepared according to the research field of the instructors.

本学医学部基礎・社会学系教室の代表論文を読んで疑問点を整理し、さらに論文著者に直接質問することを通じて、研究の目的、方法、結果などについての理解を深める。

This seminar is aimed to develop the understanding on research through reading scientific papers from laboratories in basic medicine area of this institute and asking questions directly to the authors.

Message from the Instructor
１年生になったばかりで難しい研究論文を読むなんて、と思うかも知れませんが、皆さんの潜在能力をもってすれば、必ずできます。名古屋大学医学部では、入学直後から積極的に研究室に出入りし，最先端の医学研究に触れ，研究室の一員としていろいろな実験法を学びながら，研究に参画することを強く期待しています。３年後期には、全員が基礎・社会医学系の研究室に配属されますが、推薦入学の学生さんたちは、ぜひ率先して、早期から研究に勤しんでください。このセミナーが、研究参画のきっかけになればと願っています。
