Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course is intended to improve students’ skills in listening and speaking suitable for academic communication in English. Students will develop basic oral/aural communication skills for academic discussion and presentation. |

授業の達成目標 【英語】
Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | Focusing on both casual and academic English, this class aims to improve students’ speaking and listening abilities. Students will give two presentations (7 to 10 minutes each) about personally and socially significant topics that they choose. The first presentation will focus on providing information about a topic, while the second presentation will focus on making an argument about a topic. The instructor will also model presentation techniques and provide some focused listening and speaking activities. In principle, all class sessions will be held face-to-face. Submission and grading of assignments will be conducted through the TACT（旧NUCT） course page. |

注意事項
Notice for Students | | ５回以上欠席をした場合、「Ｗ」の評価がつく。英語検定試験による単位認定を申請する学生以外は、履修取り下げを認めない。
Students are expected to attend all class sessions. Beginning with their second absence, their attendance / participation scores will be lowered for each class they miss.
All assignments that students submit for this course should consist of their own original work. Plagiarism (盗作) is strictly prohibited and will result in a final course grade of “F”. |
