Goals of the Course [JPN]
現代社会では，医療分野をはじめとした様々な分野で，放射線が利用され，われわれの日常生活を支えています。一方，福島原子力発電所の事故では，多くの人々が不幸な形で，放射線と向き合うこととなりました。このような利便性とリスクの双方を兼ね備えた放射線について正確な知識をもつことは，現代に生きる市民にとって不可欠のリテラシーでしょう。放射線と放射能に関する基礎的な科学的知見を身につけ，放射線に対して正しく対応できるようになることを目指します。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
In modern society, radiation is used in various fields including the medical field to support our daily lives. On the other hand, in the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, many people unfortunately faced radiation. Having accurate knowledge of radiation, which has both benefit and risk, is an essential literacy for modern citizens. We aim to acquire basic scientific knowledge about radiation and radioactivity so that we can get along with them correctly.

放射線・放射能について、その基本的性質を学び、その知識を基に、放射線・放射能の利用法を理解できる。その利用の実態を把握し、正しく怖れ、正しく対応できる能力を養う。
