授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | 今学期は入門的な心理統計学に焦点をあてる。 英語のテキストや文献を講読する。各回の授業では,英語による会話のあとに,数名の発表者によるプレゼンとディスカッションを行う。発表者は英語で資料を作成する。
This semester, we will focus on introductory Psychometrics. You will read textbooks, articles, or materials relating to the focused topic. In each session, after English conversation, some of you will make brief presentations following discussions. Materials are partitioned into small parts and assigned to every student who needs a credit, so many of you will provide presentations in one session. It is necessary to prepare resumes and hand them out to all attendants. Resumes should be written in English. |

履修条件・関連する科目 Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | 高校(文系)レベルの数学の知識を前提とする。授業はおもに英語で行われる。
You are required to have learned high-school level mathematics. As you may have noticed, this class is held mostoly in English. You are expected to use English in the whole course. However, you can also use your native language if it helps some students. |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | プレゼン30%,資料30%,授業への貢献度40%
Sections: quality of presentations (30%), resumes (30%), and degrees of contribution to discussions (40%). Criterion: The course credit will be issued when you take over or equal to 60% performance in above sections as total. |

注意事項 Notice for Students | | 多くは英語非母語話者なので,完璧な英語を話す必要はない。文法もあまり気にしなくて良い。重要なことは,英語を使うことに馴れることである。お互いを尊重し合い,気楽に行こう!
Most of us are not native English speakers including the instractor. So, we do not expect you to speak perfect English. You do not also have to care about grammar so much. The important thing is to get familiar with using English in the classroom. English levels are not the same between students. So, you have to pay respect to all other students. Take it easy! |
