授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN) | | この演習の目的は、研究論文とはどのようなものなのか、テーマ設定や論述の仕方を知り、研究活動について具体的なイメージを形成することにある。また、議論に積極的に参加することで法学および政治学の面白さを知ることにある。後半に予定される学生プレゼンの準備を通じて、文献検索、レポート作成の作法も学ぶ。
具体的な内容は、法学政治学において興味深い論文が取り上げられ、ゲスト教員が報告し、ゲストコメンテーター教員のコメントをする。そして、論文を読んできた学生が議論に参加する。
次に、学生は、自らが興味をもつテーマについて、プレゼンを行う。プレゼンの方法については、ＴＡ（大学院生）が、文献探索の方法、パワポの作成の仕方、レポートの書き方、脚注のつけかたなどベーシックなプレゼンやレポートの作法を伝授してくれる。
学生の報告の回には、テーマに応じて、ゼミの教員など専任教員がゲストコメンテーターとして参加する。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | This seminar aims to instruct undergraduate students on basic research skills, such as what is a research paper, how to set up a topic and write an argument, and thus develop a concrete image of what research activities are. A further purpose is also to learn about fascinating aspects of law and political science through active participation in discussions. Students will also learn how to search for literature and write reports through preparation for student presentations scheduled in the second half of the course. Overall, the seminar consists of three parts.
First, relevant topics in law and politics will be discussed, supported by guest faculty members, and commented on by guest commentator faculty members. Students should read the papers and participate in the discussion.
Second, students will give presentations on topics of their own interest. The students will be mentored in basic presentation and report-writing skills, such as how to search for literature, how to prepare a PowerPoint presentation, how to write a report, and how to add footnotes.
Third, students shall do a presentation regarding their research interests. Depending on the topic, faculty members and seminar professors will join to comment on the discussions. |

Objectives of the Course(JPN) | | 本講義の到達目標としては、主として以下の二点が挙げられる。
第一に、教員報告や異なる分野間の教員の議論、また、学生の報告や議論に参加することを通じて、研究テーマをどのように設定し、また、どのようにアプローチしていくのかを学習する。
第二に、実際に、発表をすることを通じて、学習したことをアウトプット（報告）していく方法を学習する。その報告に教員や他の参加学生がコメントすることで、フィードバックも得られる。 |

欠席３回以上で評価の対象外とする。
自身のテーマに関するプレゼンにおいて、議論の状況の分析・検討を踏まえたうえで、オリジナリティある自身の見解を提示し、総じて、議論の素材を提供できていることを合格の基準とする。 |
