Student will learn two functional areas of business, management and operations. Major topics include: management and leadership; organizations; and production and operations management.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:
1. Correctly define and use a variety of business-related terms.
2. Conduct basic research on business topics using the Internet and other resources and clearly communicate the results of that research in written form.
3. Describe the basic functions performed by managers.
4. Explain the role of operations management in producing and distributing a company's goods and services.
